Ein 58-jähriger Patient leidet seit 4 Monaten an häufigen quälenden plötzlichen Einschlafattacken Die Diagnose „Narkolepsie" wird von den mitbehandelnden Fachärzten (Diabetologie, Neurologie, Rheumatologie) bestätigt. Die sta tionäre Behandlung im Juni 2002 strebt in erster Linie die Entlastung des Nervensystems von überflutenden Stoffwechselkräften durch eine Heilfastenbehandlung an. Flankierend werden anthroposophische Medikamente und Therapien eingesetzt. Schon nach wenigen Tagen ist der Patient völlig frei von seinen Einschlafattacken. Bisher (Mai 2003) keinerlei Rückfall.
A 58-years old patient suffered from frequent harassing sudden sleep attacks.The diagnosis „narcolepsy" was confirmed by co-treating specialists (Diabetology, Neurology, Rheumatology). The first aim of the treatment in June 2002 was to release the nerve system of the overflow of metabolic forces by a fasting cure. Accompanying to this treatment anthroposophic remedies and therapies were used. Already after a few days the patient was free of the sudden sleep attacks. Up to now (May 2003) no reccurence is observed.
