Eine 58-jährige Patientin mit Liposarkom pT2b N0 M0 am linken Oberschenkel stellte sich nach multiplen Vortherapien (4 x Operation, 2 x Strahlentherapie, 5 Rezidive in den letzten 6 Jahren) im anthroposophischen Therapeutikum in Tiflis vor, da von schulmedizinischer Seite die Beinamputation angeraten wurde und sie eine alternative Behandlung wünschte. Es wurde eine intratumorale Misteltherapie eingeleitet, unter der es anfangs zu einer ausgeprägten Lokalreaktion und erhöhter Körpertemperatur kam. Nach 12 intratumoralen Injektionen war der Tumor nicht mehr nachweisbar. Die Patientin war danach 15 Monate in Remission und dabei in gutem Allgemeinzustand. Diese Falldarstellung zeigt, dass intratumorale Mistelinjektionen eine Wirksamkeit bei Sarkompatienten haben können.
Intralesional mistletoe therapy of a patient with liposarcoma – a brief case report from Georgia
A 58-year-old patient with liposarcoma pT2b N0 M0 on her left thigh presented after multiple pre-treatments (4 x operation, 2 x radiation therapy and 5 recurrences in the last 6 years) in the anthroposophic outpatient center (Therapeutikum) in Tbilisi, because amputation was considered as necessary from conventional doctors and she wanted an alternative treatment. An intratumoral treatment with a mistletoe preparation was started, which initially resulted in strong local reactions at the site of injection and elevated body temperature. After 12 intratumoral injections the tumor was no more detectable. The patient remained in remission for 15 months and had a good general condition. The case report demonstrates that intratumoral injections with mistletoe preparations can be efficacious in patients with sarcoma.
