Die Arbeit thematisiert die Herzanschauung Rudolf Steiners im Geistesgang des Abendlandes und insbesondere im Hinblick auf die Herzanthropologie von Aristoteles und Thomas von Aquin. Sie zeigt auf, dass Rudolf Steiner die Aufgabenstellung der Anthroposophie-als weitergeführtem und neuzeitlich gesteigertem Aristotelismus undThomismus-in ebenso exemplarischer wie paradigmatischer Weise an der Herzphysiologie erläuterte und dabei das Herzorgan nicht nur als Zentrum des Lebensgeschehens und zentrales Leibesinstrument des seelisch-geistigen Lebens beschrieb, sondern als Organ der individuellen Schicksals-Geschichte des sich reinkarnierenden Menschenwesens kenntlich machte. Die Arbeit weist darüber hinaus nach, dass Rudolf Steiner subtile und hochdifferenzierte Einsichten seiner okkulten Herzphysiologie in mantrischer Form Menschen zurVerfügung stellte, die ihn um Hilfestellungen auf ihrem meditativen oder therapeutischen Weg baten, damit aber hochkomplexe Zusammenhänge in die Spruchform weniger Zeilen hineinverdichtete.
The subject of this paper is Rudolf Steiner's view of the heart in the cultural evolution of the western world, with special reference to Aristotle's and Thomas Aquinas'anthropology of the heart. Rudolf Steiner explained the task of anthroposophy—as Aristotelianism and Thomism taken further and taken to a higher level in our time—in an exemplary and paradigmatic way in terms of cardiac physiology. He referred to the heart not only as the centre of all vital processes and the central bodily instrument for life in soul and spirit, but also as the organ for the individual destiny history of the reincarnating human being. In addition it is shown that Rudolf Steiner offered the subtle, highly differentiated insights of his cardiac physiology in mantric form to individuals who asked for help with their meditative of therapeutic work, and in doing so condensed highly complex situations in verses of a few lines.
