Das Mistelpräparat Iscucin* zeigt im HUVEC-Modell deutliche antiangiogenetische Effekte in vitro. In Abhängigkeit vom jeweiligen Wirtsbaum und der Vitalität der Endothelzellen lag die IC 50 zwischen 120 (lscucin*Tiliae) und 2000 Mikrogramm (Iscucin* Abietis) pro Milliliter. Die AngiogeneseHemmung könnte zur therapeutischen Wirksamkeit der Iscucin®- Mistelpräparate beitragen. Möglicherweise findet in vivo eine Verstärkung der Anti-Angiogenese durch die Freisetzung von Tumornekrose-Faktor Alpha aus Makrophagen statt.
In vitro the mistletoe preparation Iscucin* shows clear anti-angiogenetic effects in the HUVEC-Model. Depending on the host tree and the vitality of the endothelial cells the IC 50 was between 120 (Iscucin'Tiliae) and 2000 microgrammes (Iscucin* Abietis) pro millilitre.The inhibition of the angiogenesis may contribute to the therapeutic effect of the Iscucin* mistletoe preparations. In vivo there is a possibility that the anti-angiogenesis is enhanced by the release of tumour-necrosis-factor alpha from macrophages.
