Die Meilensteine der Wissenschaftsgeschichte sind die Paradigmen, in denen man Beobachtungen und wissenschaftliche Erfahrungen organisiert. Das Pumpenparadigma, das den Blutkreislauf als ein geschlossenes System von einer Herzpumpe bewegt betrachtet, beginnt, angesichts der neuen Erkenntnissen über die Endothelphysiologie, zu wanken. Es wurde vor Kurzem entdeckt, dass das Endothelsystem, immer als ein Passives angesehen, vielfache Wirkungen auf das Blutleben, durch verschiedene Gase aktiviert, ausübt, von denen das wichtigste das Stickstoffmonoxid ist. Rudolf Steiner hatte vorfast einem Jahrhundert darauf hingewiesen, dass die Blutbewegung durch einen Einfluss des Astralleibes auf den Ätherleib erfolgt und dass Stickstoff und Sauerstoff deren Träger sind. Sogar die Herzbildung und die innere Physiologie der verschiedenen Organe (v.a.die Nieren) ist nur durch die Blutbewegung (NO-abhängig) erklärlich.
The milestones in the history of science are the paradigms (see The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, 1962, by Thomas Kuhn) in which we organize our observations and our scientific experiences.The pump paradigm, whereby the circulation of blood would be a closed system driven by a heart pump, begins to wobble in the light of the recent discoveries in endothelial physiology. It was recently discovered that the endothelial system, always seen as an inert duct, exerts many different actions on blood life, activated by different gases the most important of which is nitric oxide. Rudolf Steiner, pointed out almost a century ago that the movement of the blood is in fact caused by an action of the astral body on the etheric body, with nitrogen and oxygen, respectively, the physical vehicles for these. Even the development of the heart is due to the movement of the blood (NO-dependent) and the physiology of the different organs (mostly of the kidney) can only be explained in this way.
