In der Technik und in der Evolution der Lebewesen gilt wie heute für die Respiration derTiere und des Menschen, dass das Kupfer ein Vorläufer für das Eisen war bzw. ist:„Das Wesen des Kupfers ist es, den Weg für das Eisen zu bereiten" (Wolff). Viele Kupfermineralien und -Verbindungen werden in der Anthroposophischen Medizin verwendet (Tab. 1). Cuprum aceticum und vegetabilisiertes Kupfer,Tabacum Cupro cultum werden bei Lungenerkran kungen eingesetzt. Das flüchtige Alkaloid Nicotin des Tabaks wird als eine Möglichkeit beschrieben, die Beziehung des Tabaks zum Venus zu verstehen.
Copper was the first metal being processed by man, it is the respiration metal for many lower animals (molluscs and arthropods), and a copper compound is necessary for the first step in the respiratory chain of the higher animals and man. So, for the development of technology, in the evolution of life and for the respiratory chain copper was and is a forerunner for iron. "The nature of copper is to prepare the road for iron" (Otto Wolff). Many copper containing minerals and chemicals are used in anthroposophic medicine (Tab. i). Cuprum aceticum and vegetabilised copper (Tabacum Cupro cultum) are used against pulmonary diseases.The volatile alkaloid nicotine of tobacco is described as a possibility to understand the relationship between tobacco and Venus.
