Begleitung einer Fibromyalgie-Patientin mit therapeutischem Plastizieren – Ein Fallbericht

Eine 59-jährige Patientin mit Fibromyalgiesyndrom (FMS) lernt im Rahmen einer stationären interdisziplinären multimodalen Schmerztherapie das therapeutische Plastizieren kennen, welches im Anschluss ambulant fortgesetzt wird. Sie erlebt hierdurch eine wesentliche Hilfe, um innerlich-seelisch zur Ruhe zu kommen, Verkrampfungen zu lösen sowie traumatische Erlebnisse zu verarbeiten. In beeindruckender Weise gelingt es der Patientin, Anschluss zu finden an die Kraft ihrer Individualität und sich wieder als selbstwirksam zu erleben. In diesem Artikel wird der therapeutische Prozess beschrieben, der immer von einem aufmerksamen Wahrnehmen des sich wandelnden leiblich-seelischen Zustands der Patientin ausging.
Supporting a patient with fibromyalgia through therapeutic clay modelling – A case report
In the setting of an inpatient interdisciplinary multimodal pain programme, a 59-year-old female with fibromyalgia is introduced to therapeutic clay modelling, which she continues to pursue in an outpatient setting. She experiences the therapeutic clay modelling as profoundly helpful for releasing tension, calming down, and letting go of traumatic experiences from the past. Through a remarkable process of inner growth, she finds access to the forces of her individuality and regains a sense of autonomy and purpose. This article describes the development which unfolded during the joint endeavour of patient and therapist, always starting from a point of careful attention towards the ever changing physical and emotional state of the patient.
