Wound healing from a physiological and anthroposophically extended perspective: Phases of wound healing
Wound healing plays a crucial role in the perioperative setting. The four phases of wound healing – hemostasis, inflammation, granulation and maturation – are determined by a variety of humoral and cellular processes. The anthroposophically extended view of processes, which lead to the formation, regeneration and maintenance of body structures, forms a valuable basis for a deeper understanding of these processes.
